Natural Pain Relief
Have you been suffering from ongoing back pain that leaves you feeling frustrated and tired? Has your general quality of life suffered as a result of this pain? If so, you may want to consider utilizing our chiropractic adjustment services.
A basic adjustment (also known as an manipulation) is a simple procedure that results in small movement of vertebrae in the spine. The goal of an adjustment is to realign vertebrae that have become misaligned through normal day to day activity. With a quality adjustment you will not only improve your own life, but that of your family as well.
Here at Pineda Chiropractic we can help you to feel better on a day to day basis and reduce pain and stiffness throughout the body. Our high quality adjustments make it easy for you to ensure that you are doing everything within your power to fix potential problems and help you to feel your best.
There are any number of ways in which vertebrae can become misaligned, including car accidents, incidents in the workplace and while playing sports. The fact of the matter is that most individuals that have vertebrae that are out of alignment are not aware of this fact, and may not even notice the potentially life-altering side effects until they become quite painful.
When vertebrae are out of alignment, it has an effect on the body as a whole, from the central nervous system to the muscular system. If you are having issues that you believe may be related to vertebrae that are out of alignment, you may want to consider a chiropractic adjustment from Doctor Pineda.
Some of the common reasons why you may want to seek out an adjustment include:
- Upper Back Pain
- Lower Back Pain
- General Soreness
- Upper Leg Pain
- Posture Problems
The adjustment is conducted by having your chiropractor place pressure using his hands as an instrument, adjusting the vertebrae into their right position. The actual adjustment happens quickly, and almost never results in any serious discomfort for the patient. The adjustment may cause a noise that is similar to cracking your knuckles, which is most commonly known as a joint cavitation. This noise occurs as the vertebrae shifts and previously trapped gasses, such as oxygen and nitrogen, are released from the joints.
There are several different techniques that are used by chiropractors to adjust the vertebrae in your spine. One of the most common techniques is the lumbar roll, during which the chiropractor positions you on your side, then applies a manipulative thrust to the targeted vertebrae, helping to realign it.
Another common technique that is employed by many chiropractic offices is the ‘toggle drop,’during which the chiropractor uses two crossed hands, pressing firmly on a particular area. At the Pineda Chiropractic Clinic, we use a variety of different methods, depending upon the cause of the misalignment and which technique is most likely to deliver positive results and promote your overall wellness.
If you are experiencing back pain as the result of an incident, or regular day to day activities, a chiropractic adjustment and other chiropractic treatment services are an excellent way to reduce these problems and allow the body to return to functioning at its highest possible level. Having a spine and vertebrae that are perfectly in alignment will allow your body to better respond to stimuli, and react in the ways that it was designed to.

One of the primary techniques used by Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.) is "spinal adjustment", also known as a "chiropractic adjustment". In fact, chiropractors are renowned as experts who specialize in performing spinal adjustments. The term "adjustment" refers to the physical adjustment of the spinal vertebrae. The goal of such spinal adjustment is to reduce vertebral subluxation and return the spine to a more natural state of health. The word subluxation is derived from the Latin terms Sub ("less than" or "slight") and Luxate ("to dislocate" or "be misaligned"). Accordingly, vertebral subluxation means the slight dislocation or misalignment of the spinal vertebrae.
When a patient has a subluxation, chiropractic adjustment can be used to correct the misalignment, which in turn helps enhance joint mobility, reduce pain, reduce muscle spasm, and reduce nerve irritation or impingement. Chiropractic adjustment is a highly refined skill acquired during years of intensive training. The technique involves the manual application of a controlled force into the spinal vertebrae which have become misaligned and hypo mobile (limited in their range of motion). This procedure corrects vertebral alignment and is often accompanied by a clicking sound. While this sound might surprise first time chiropractic patients, it is merely the audible release of gas from within the spinal joints.
Furthermore, the procedure rarely causes discomfort or pain. In fact, many patients report a sense of immediate relief associated with the chiropractic adjustment and often note positive changes in their symptoms shortly after receiving care. If discomfort is experienced it is typically minor and resolves within a matter of days. To achieve optimal results patients may receive several adjustments over multiple chiropractic visits. In addition to chiropractic adjustments, the care plan may also include massage and functional restoration exercises.

How does subluxation adverseley affect you?
Remember that example of the flickering light? When the wire supplying that light is running smoothly, unkinked, then the light is bright. If the wire is bent, or contorted, then the light may flicker. When your nerves are blocked, contorted, pain is the likely experience. At Pineda Chiropractic our all natural approach offers a focused treatment plan for each person, non-surgically!
Our safe methods give ideal benefits aimed at increasing physical and emotional health. When you feel better you think more clearly because your pain is relieved. A vertebral subluxation complex (subluxation) is when your vertebrae are out of place (out of alignment). You may be able to feel this, just by placing your hand on your middle & or lower back (depending on how flexible you are). You may even feel a vertebra out of alignment in the back of your neck. Imagine a bone being out of place!
Your spine is composed of vertebrae that are connected, or in close proximity, to nerves, blood vessels & muscles. What do you think happens when those vertebrae is out of place? That’s right, the structures that are connected to it, or in close proximity, are also affected. Many times adversely affected. This creates a snowball effect that may travel throughout your entire body!
Are my organs affected by subluxation?
Your spine houses your nerves. When trauma occurs, either by daily stressors, or from larger accidents, impeded nerve flow may result. An impinged nerve could be blocking the function of your organs!
Are you experiencing a problem with your internal systems? It could be related to vertebrae being misaligned. Your nervous system controls basic functions such as digestion and respiration. Did you know it also governs higher, cognitive functions like memory and intelligence? Doesn’t it make sense that your nerves need to physically flow with ease, throughout your entire body?
If nerves are blocked, or damaged, long-term harm may be the result. If you’ve suffered from a major trauma, or from repetitive stress, wouldn’t you like to be rest-assured that your nerves are healthy & functioning as they should?
Chiropractic can give you an intelligent & immediate assessment of what’s going on inside your body & how to make you feel better. Why is this? When your nerves are functioning optimally your organs & muscles are getting what they need.
A Silent Threat
Many times subluxations are unnoticeable, which means they are potentially causing damage to your body. Subluxation has been referred to as a silent threat. At Pineda Chiropractic, we specialize in finding what may be the underlying cause (silent threat) of ill health and low energy.
Chiropractic achieves its goals by using a focused adjustment. Most of our patients feel immediate relief. The body holds its tension in certain ways. It may even guard itself when minor and major events are felt. These impacts are experienced through daily living.
This guarding mechanism may create a build-up of fibrous tissue around the subluxation. When this fibrous tissue is relieved by a skilled adjustment minor discomfort may be experienced.
In reality blood vessels, nerves & lymphatic will be able to increase their circulation! This will give your organs what they need to thrive! The adjustment creates a positive & powerful ripple effect throughout your entire body! Increased health & vitality are the results!
