Good Postural Alignment Produces Optimal Swing
There are many different types of faulty posture. There are increased spinal curves in the lumber and thoracic spine, and anteriorly tilted pelvis, a forward head, etc.
If your postural alignment is poor, your rotational energy is expended in all directions, resulting in dissipation of energy through constantly changing axis of rotation. This sort of spinal alignment results in poor shot consistency!
When a golfer possesses good posture alignment, his or her body will hold an optimal rotational axis, rotating much more efficiently.1
Tip
1. Warm up before playing with a golf specific stretching routine.
2. When exercising, utilize proprioceptive exercises (balance ball) which will help increase your functional strength for a smooth swing with increased power.
3. Get your posture and spinal alignment evaluated by a Certified Golf Doctor.
